Aaron and Shanda set out to launch Simple Church long before May of 2013 ever came around. With much prayer and planning, they responded to God’s call on their life in 2011. When asked “Why become a church planter?” Aaron responded, “Because everything else I was doing in my life was like gravel in my mouth. There is nothing greater than loving on people and seeing their lives changed through a relationship with Jesus.”
Aaron, who has a business background and is an accomplished performer in the art of sleight of hand magic, believes that challenging people to simply be the church, not just go to church on Sunday is his greatest gift. He believes that connecting with Jesus as a true disciple means that you live life on mission. And that mission is to love God, love people, and serve the world. Simple.
He and his wife, Shanda, a registered nurse and photographer who hails from eastern Kentucky, and their three children, twin boys Tyler and Trent, and daughter, Kesiah, live in Reynoldsburg. They enjoy being silly together, playing soccer and watching epic movies while Mom sleeps on the couch.
